Server login info to include population levels

A source close to me told me that the server-selection screen includes the following information:

Order Population | Destruction Population
       LOW LOW

When we pick the server we will reside on, at least we will have that to go on. It might be a couple of days before we have an indication of a well-balanced server, so don’t think that the first server we pick will be the one we stay on forever. Characters are easy to level and it’s easy to switch early on.

In other news, Pylith is headed to the New Orleans area to help with the recovery efforts. If you do not see him online when the game starts, then that’s why. Fortunately hurricane Gustav took a last-minute westward turn, so he may be back sooner than we think.

We’ll keep a spot warm for him though!

Early head start begins Sept. 14

For those who pre-ordered the collector’s edition, the head start begins on Sept. 14. If you pre-ordered the normal game, you can start on Sept. 15. The head start will include the full game, according to a post by Mark Jacobs on the Warhammer Alliance forums.

The number of servers up at that time will be fewer than at launch. If we don’t pick a server with good class balance then we can pick something else later. I am not too shy to switch. I hope Mythic will have tools available so we can see what the realm balance is for each side, sort of like in DAOC.

We are still looking at Order.

As far as guild recruitment, I am not too concerned about having lots of people in guild. While I want the guild to be relatively vibrant, it’s more important to have the right people rather than more people. Our guild name will attract the right people, I think. I’ll advertise here and there, but we will retain our core values as listed in our rules section.
